Elise and Bill Waldron are a couple with a mission- to provide great food, terrific coffee, and service with a smile to everyone who comes into our place- 'cause we love food, coffee, and people! We have been married for 21 years and have raised three terrific kids- Billy, 34, who is married to Shiloh and expecting our first grandchild in June; Alissa who is 30 and a teacher; and Amanda, 20, who is attending LIM College in Manhattan. They are wonderful and special children (well, adults) who are the best things in our lives.
- Hi- this is Elise. I was born in NYC about 55 years ago, moved to NJ at age 22 and stayed there until the fall of 2004, where the lure of the Cape and an early retirement after 30 years with AT&T moved us East. I love food passionately, especially baking, and it has always been my dream to bake for millions (of people, that is, not money). So it is thrilling for me to be entering this business. I love to bake anything- muffins, cakes, cookies- you name it- but only if it is from the bare basics; everything from scratch, the way it should be. Why bother doing it any other way? I also love the Red Sox!, to read, walk, sit on the beach, Seinfeld, and just hang with my husband and two dogs. Life is good on the Cape.
Hello- this is Bill (alias, Mr. Bill). I am 56 years old and can’t believe my wife is getting me into a business this late in life. But hey- it beats working at the deli at Stop & Shop. I am the one who greets you everyday when you come in for your coffee, brownie, or lunch, and I am the one who will try to make your day better. I have been a native New Jersian my whole life except for the last 18 months, and love living here so much that my wife has to bribe me to go across the bridge. I love walking my dogs (Max and Madeline), being with people, a good cup of coffee (what coffee is better than Beanstock?), biking, sleeping on the beach, and music. And if my doctor is reading this, working out and not eating sweets. I also love the Red Sox as a matter of survival in my home.
Hi I’m Ellen. I also hail from NJ. I loved living there, especially the proximity to NYC with its theater and restaurants. I am a member of a big Irish family and I have lots of brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in NJ and even one or two on the Cape. About 30 years ago I took a weekend trip to Cape Cod and it has been a love affair ever since. I too was a lifer at AT&T and always, the thing I could look forward to was the next trip to the Cape. The idea of living by the sea is something that has always appealed to me. Cooking is the other thing that I love. My best memories are Sunday dinners on the deck joined by family and friends. In a way Cape Cup allows me to do some of the things I like best: ride to work passing some of the most beautiful seaside views in the country; feed the locals, who know how lucky they are to live in a beautiful town like Orleans; as well as feed the visitors who treasure the time they have at the Cape on their summer vacation.
